Denise Hamm, creative

 

With a B.F.A. in Communication Design, Denise has been designing and creating for over two decades. Her career started in the print industry doing prepress work and design including annual reports, identity packages, posters and advertisements — basically, anything ink on paper.

 

When the printing company bought a video firm, she jumped at the chance to create animations for television commercials and corporate videos. She took to also writing scripts, doing voice over work and filling in as a grip.

 

Denise shared her technical knowledge and expertise teaching 2-day seminars teaching creative software products such as Photoshop, InDesign and After Effects. At an award winning digital company, she translated her skills to designing and creating websites. Collaborating with information architects, developers and clients to design sites for local and global corporations.

 

For the past ten years, Denise has utilized her web, print and video expertise for her clients and has done extensive work in print and web for a national animal welfare organization.

 

Along the way, Denise's love of animals and her own dog, Zoe, let to the design, patent and manufacture of the Doggie Condo. The furniture design takes up little floor space, while providing generous storage and a comfy place for a smaller pet to den and sleep. Bigger pets can use the bottom to store their favorite toys. For those without pets, the furniture makes a great storage unit for kids stuff — or for whatever. They key to its unique design is the curved shape and the wide base that makes it stable and safe.
